DIY Soap and Water fire extinguisher

This method is low cost, easily available and require little maintenance.

Description

From the testimonials and fact sheet given by Allianz, one thing was certain. The factory owners were adamant and stubborn to adopt fire safety even after its relative ease of availability. In a case like this, the simplest thing to do would be to keep a spray gun ( or pichkari) and a bucket on standby. In case of a fire, workers must divide into 2 teams, one team of workers must switch off electricity supply and the other make a mix of soap and water and spray it with the help of the spray gun or empty the bucket onto the ignited area. This is the simplest and least resource intensive method one can think of. This is especially useful in factories with no water source in the plant. A conveyor or assembly line type system (like passing the baton in relay) of humans can be used to carry the bucket from one end to the other
