HOT SPOT DETECTION ANDPREVENTION

In Textile Industry most of the fire start as hot spots. We propose detection and protection of the same before they flare up.

Description

In Textile Industry most of the fire start as hot spots . These localized hot spots can be created because reasons ranging from a smoldering cigarette, short circuit sparks to spontaneous combustion of textile. In current fire protection detection is done once the fire is already started. That is, smoke detection or temperature of the room or infrared radiation of a flame. We propose detection and protection of the localized hot spots before they convert into flames. This can be done through sensors embedded in carpets, in storage areas between textile piles , sensors in drones continuously monitoring different areas. Data collected through these sensors will be monitored to access real time heat map of the area. Any localized area with heat higher than the combustion temperature of the textile will be used to raise alarm and trigger the protection mechanism. This method is very cheap to install and maintain but highly effective in stopping fire hazard. Protection mechanism will need to be localized also. This can be done through oxidation reducing salts or water. The means to administer the protection mechanism can be again through drone or a mechanized robot.
