The concept idea of the Ion Smart System is adapted to the work process in the textile industry, with the purpose to improving the work environment to reduce the possibility of a fire, and at the same time adapting to the different production scope of the textile industry. Static electricity is a major problem in the textile industry because it is mainly a cause of fire, employee injuries and large-scale disasters on industrial machines. In an industry such as textile, any spark due to static charge can be a cause of fire of large proportions. Removing the cause of potential damage needs to comply with work safety rules and use existing technologies to prevent the possibility of fire. Textile as a material have high static electricity, especially when it is stretching and preparing for cutting. One way to reduce electricity is to increase humidity in the air to 70% percent. Increased air humidity prevents static electricity to appear in the industry workspace. The static electricity is the biggest and most dangerous when is dry air. A large number of machines heat themselves during work process and warm up a workspace and drying air, that creates conditions for increasing static electricity during production. The static electricity spark can burn textile as well as chemicals used in the textile industry, such as bleachers, paints, etc. Sparks can ignite dust that is constantly present due to textile processing and is always present in sewing machines and in the area where textiles are cut. Ion Smart System is a concept of associated technologies with the goal of creating a safe environment for industrial workspace such as textile industry. The Ion Smart System should be one compact device in two variants, that can be mounted on the wall in the production premises or can be a mobile portable device. The first and primary function would be to ionize air in the workspace, because air ionization is one of the best ways to reduce and eliminate static electricity in an industry such as textile. The system should have a humidity and temperature sensor to monitor important values from the work environment. When the air humidity decreases then the humidifier is switched on to evaporate the water from the container inside the system. The smoke detector is an integral part of the system for better protection, more efficient response and prevention of possible fires. Fisheye camera is an additional means for monitoring the space and gathering relevant data on the industrial environment and operating conditions. Through the wi-fi network, the Ion Smart System could communicate with other devices such as smart devices and share important data in real time. This system would be provide a number of options, monitoring, removing potential fire causes and automatic response, without costing to much. Each part of this system builds one another, so that the whole system provides complete protection, quick response in case of damage and a healthy and safe environment for work.
