Materials whose particle size less than 1000 micron are defined as powders and materials (particles) have a diameter less than 76 micron, they are evaluated as dust. Dust explosions are one of the common reasons of fire in the textile industry. The main idea of this product is the creation of flat sponge-shape filter material, where nanofibers are present on the surface which are attractive to dusts to, attract (catch) dusts and hold them within the structure. When we go from macrosize to nanosize, surface to volume ratio of the materials changes. As a result of this fact, the materials change their properties. They offer more surface area and they become more reactive. Reactive properties in nanosize might help to attract (catch) dusts more easily and effectively. With the greater surface area, the product will be able to catch and store more dust in the environment. The backside of the product is sticky. It could be placed anywhere in the production room in textile industry (on the equipments, on the wall etc.) It has a average lifetime. With the dust collection, the products starts to change its color. This different color means the end of the lifetime. At the end of the lifetime, the product has to be renewed with a new one. In the installing and maintenance phases, there is no need of technical knowledge. It is easy and cost-effective to install and to maintain. The product offers a passive protection technique. It is a prevention technique for high amount of dust content in the environment, which might be critical for dust explosions. The product can be used for both small and big companies, and not only in textile industry, it can be used in other industries as well.
