Extinguish with sound.
Put out fire using sound waves of different frequency and amplitude.
Description
The concept of extinguishing fire with the help of sound was first researched by DARPA, USA. The theory behind it is as follows - "The sound increases air velocity, which then thins the area of the flame where combustion occurs, known as the flame boundary. Once the boundary area is thinned, the flame is easier to extinguish. At the same time, the acoustics are disturbing the pool of fuel and creating higher fuel vaporisation — this widens the flame, thinning it out so it is less concentrated and cool enough to extinguish." - Source - https://www.wired.com/2012/07/wall-of-sound-fire/ So, my Idea is to equip fire-fighting drones with special speakers that can adjust the frequency and amplitude as per the flame intensity and march towards the flame to extinguish the fire. These drones use thermal cameras for fire detection and also to determine the proximity from the fire so that the drones can move to the fire spot in order to put it out. Another way this technology can be used is, to embed it in fire alarms. These alarms are placed strategically in fire-prone areas and can be immediately triggered if the sensors detect fire. Advantages of using sound in textile Industry. - Unlike other methods to extinguish fire, there is no physical substance to retard fire. So there is no chance of the tools or the fabric being wet or tainted with chemicals as in the case of traditional fire extinguisher. - False triggers don't cause any loss. - The execution is instantaneous. - Low cost. All that's needed is a good
