Fire Intelligent Camera will be a onetime installable camera which will be made intelligent enough to detect, decide and act any incidence of fire utilizing all the data embodied into it as well as its network data. All such cameras will be connected in mesh network for all useful data sharing among them and make them more intelligent with time. What will be the features of Fire Intelligent Camera? Data: 1.Layout of the facility 2.Employees picture and their general details like mobile number, any disability if any, age, qualification, skills etc. 3.Machines installed in layout 4.Forms of materials present in facility like fabric, wood, inflammable materials etc. 5.Firefighting arrangements like equipment, model type, any trainings imparted etc. 6.Same data of its peers in the mesh network. 7.Inbuilt Data- All data related to fire management like what are the types of fire, how to handle them, what are the equipment models available in market, fire fighting agencies location & contact etc. Basically, this camera will have access to all possible information regarding the SME Facility, Its Peer Sites, General Fire Fighting Management Info…possibly all information regarding firefighting. Algorithm: 1. Visual recognition algorithm to locate and identify everything registered in data of camera. It will work on both, stationary and moving, items. 2. Decision making algorithm to figure out optimal solution and accordingly direct or act for the given scenario of fire incidence. 3. Visual and thermal activity recognition to identify and locate flame, fire or too much of heat. How will it work? Two example scenarios are explained as below- Scenario 1: One unfortunate (or fortunate) day, pile of fabric catches a fire in the facility and is in its initial stage but with a possibility to spread wide. However, this incipient fire doesn’t go missing from the vision of our Fire Intelligent Camera. It identifies this as CLASS A fire and decides to direct to handle it at facility level. It will immediately initiate an automated call to an employee around the vicinity of fire extinguisher and fire place as well to inform, warn and direct them. Accordingly, concerned person will handle the fire. If person is unskilled, automated call will give directions to how to handle the equipment and safely extinguish the fire. All this was possible because Camera had - • data of employee, his physical abilities, face, location in facility on real-time basis, fire extinguisher model details, its location in facility, overall facility layout etc. • Visual recognition algorithm to identify nature of fire and locate resources • Fire management decision making algorithm to figure out optimal steps. Scenario 2: A CLASS D fire is recognized by camera on another unfortunate day. So, camera system will warn all employees to leave the facility by automated call or alarm in their mobiles and at the same time it will call to fire fighting agencies near around without any delay. Salability? At this stage, it is difficult to estimate costing of the product. However, meshing network of this camera can prove to be an USP. Because, with this, all SME owners near around can be presented with a bulk deal thereby reducing a price. Moreover, SME buyers will be willing to buy this because all near around SME buyers will be able to share their fire fighting equipment in the event of fire incidence. So, all them can invest in different firefighting equipment solutions but for the benefit of all.Basically, it will leverage on the principle of shared economy. Additional Advantage to the company that sells Fire Intelligent Camera? Along with the time, these cameras will record all the video and hence data to be derived from the video.This data can be used by a company in following ways- 1. If some fire takes place and cause little damage, the insurance agency can verify recorded data while disbursing claim amount in case little damage has caused. 2.Data is new oil.It has immense value.This data can be applied to data analytics by a product company, to understand some patterns trends.These insights can be beneficial while assessing risk of various facilities and deciding premium from prospective insurance policy customers or even for the study of better fire fighting purposes. Design Challenges? Costing and technical aspects of design have not been discussed here as it is a very basic idea in reply to expectation of concept of new product for ideation.
