Starting point: Lanterns are light sources, warning system and one can fix them at various places by a hanger. From this point I suggest a fire protection device designed like a lantern. One can fix it over machines or at places of high risk of fire. It should combine a detection system, a warning system and a firefighting system [detection, activation, extinguishing in one]. Design: Fire Extinguishing „Lantern“ exists of Hanger -for placing device over spots with high risk of fire Bimetallic Activator (Temperature-) for -Emergency Light -Warning Siren Metallic Extinguishing Agent Tank -under pressure Activation by release of a Foil -Glued to a hole at bottom of Extinguishing Agent Tank -Glue melts at defined temperature -So that Extinguishing Agent can be spreaded over hot spot Scalability: -fire fighting system with activation by release of a foil -With additional warning siren and emergency light -Different sizes adapted to risk Protection Effectiveness: -fights exactly at point -fast -effective Advantages: -autarchic system -adjustable -flexible applicable So such system offers: * fast response * cost efficiency * NO installation effort * few maintenance * scalability Disadvantage: -more for incipient fires Sketches in work
