Description
My idea proposes an automated crawler with sensors & IR thermal cameras with magnetic wheels that rolls on metal strip stuck on the wall to inspect for potential fire hazard. The metal strips are stuck on the walls of the facility, the crawler has magnetic wheels and hence can move even upside down on a ceiling without falling. The crawler can do much more than what a normal fire sensor and a fixed CCTV cameras can do because these are mobile and can inspect the entire facility meaning cut down on cost for multiple thermal cameras & CCTV cameras as crawler can inspect the entire facility by its own. The crawler will feature humidity sensor, temperature sensors, smoke detectors, IR thermal cameras. The metal strips serve as source of charging & data transmission too, the device will also have a inbuilt battery and 4G data transmitter too for better safety. The crawler moves around the entire facility and inspects for higher temperature, smoke, dust and low humidity levels. The humidity levels will be adjusted according to the feedback from the crawler, in case of high temperature & smoke it alerts the relevant authority. The entire crawler is fire proof and in the event of fire it can even be used identify people trapped in the building helping in fire evacuation and even during the fire the crawler moves, this will help generate a real time heat map of the building affected by fire and help detect the source of the fire and help fire fighters extinguish the fire. Update:- The installation of metal strips is simple, the metal strips will be available like a roll and it can be stuck to the wall like a wall paper or sticker and firerollie can placed on it. No need of physically installing tracks or other equipment, I wanted to clarify this as people have asked this in comments section.
