Fire Exterminator iRobot
An autonomous mobile fire exterminator that call be called to assist handling fire, according to fire type and per request.
Description
Building standardization process requires installation of fire exterminators per floor and per area. These fire exterminators are usually wall-mounted and has limited amount of material to handle small fires. When the material is gone, there is no near fire exterminator to be used to continue handling the emergency case. In addition, in most cases, the fire exterminator fits only the common environmental case and not adapted to specific fire type: - Powder fire extinguisher; - Water-based fire extinguisher; - Carbon dioxide fire extinguisher. The idea is to introduce an "i-robot" style fire exterminator with autonomous mechanism of movement toward reported locations that asks for it. In addition to the wall-mount fire exterminators, several self-moving mobile fire exterminators from different type shall be placed in each floor in a central location. Whenever a fire event occur, these units shall be able to move toward the fire location and be used by the personnel handling the fire. For calling these units, either a wall mounted button or an app shall be used to report the location of the fire and possibly also the type of fire (in order to call only the mobile units that fits to this fire type). Auto calling mechanism may also use a button embedded in the wall-mount fire exterminator which will call the mobile units when used.
