My idea proposes for a smart bulb that can be fitted in the ordinary bulb holder, this bulb will have an embedded smoke & temperature sensor along with a camera, Narrow band IOT device & it will feature an inbuilt 9V rechargeable battery which ensures its operation even in the absence of electricity. The camera in the bulb take snapshot of sensor data & images periodically in a blockchain to maintain log of fire compliance which will be used as an evidence for claiming fire insurance, this will ensure that SME owners and people will strictly comply with fire & safety regulations. Say for example:- There was a fire in building A , after the fire on checking Allianz Patrol Bulb data logs it was found that one of the employee was smoking inside the building on the day of fire. The data on blockchain as you are aware cannot be edited once an entry is made in the ledger with timestamp. The possibility to check fire compliance is endless, even a missing fire extinguisher can be identified. In the event of fire the smoke & temperature sensors quickly pickup the fire and automatically alerts the fire department using NB IOT and people get mobile notifications with a smoke alarm from the bulb itself. Mostly in the vent of the fire, all lights go off, this is done to prevent electrocution by water sprinklers or in direct contact with the people. However embedded 9V battery in Allianz Patrol Bulb will guide the people in this darkness of fire with its own light even without electricity & no risk of electrocution. The cameras within the bulb can be used to monitor fire, theft & people. It also serves for checking fire & security compliance, the device automatically takes a snapshot & saves the image in a blockchain after converting JPEG image to base64 with a times stamp with other sensor data like temperature, humidity etc. Advantages 1. Can easily be fitted in existing setup SMEs with low cost as easy as replacing a bulb. No need of installing separate fire sensors, smoke sensors & CCTV cameras. 2. The device is connected using NB IOT so it ensures connectivity in hard to reach areas and transmit small volumes of data over a short time. 3. It can also be used as CCTV, please note only snapshots at random intervals will be uploaded into blockchain for checking compliance. 4. Can help to find people trapped in a building during evacuation at every bulb socket that is almost everywhere in the building. 5. Smoke & fire sensors directly inform fire station with IOT eliminating delay and inbuilt fire alarm goes off along with notification in smartphone of the people 6. Can help to target the sprinklers to the exact location of fire, usually sprinklers goes off together, this will help in surgically eliminate fire rather than flooding the entire floor because the Allianz Patrol Bulbs are located at multiple points. 7.Emergency backup light even without electricity in the event of fire which will help with evacuation, can also be useful during power cuts too. 8. Since snaphots for checking fire & security compliance is taken periodically, this will create a sense of discipline & responsibility to the owners of SMEs, gone or those days where people can just buy fire insurance & blame insurance agencies for fire caused by carelessness & negligence.
