Description
My idea proposes for a combination of low & high tech but a cost effective solution for existing and new facilities to detect & fight fire. A large inflatable water bladder concealed within the ceiling with ability to selectively rupture & burst during fire using IOT bots inside it with electromagnetic actuators which can rupture based on fire detected on the floor or the facility using IOT fire sensors. The IOT fire sensors are installed as stickers on various locations within the facility, in the event of fire this IOT stickers will sent signals to the rupture bots inside the bladder which moves to the location near the source of fire within the bladder and electromagnetic props or pins extend from bots releasing a very large amount of water. In the event of a very large fire the entire water in the bladder will quickly put off any fire with a press of a button too if required. It is also possible to put fire foam inside the bladder which can be released similar to water because it is lighter than the burning liquid, it flows freely over the liquid surface and extinguishes the fire by a smothering. Advantages 1. Low cost and highly effective solution. 2. Ability to retrofit into existing facilities without major structural changes as the bladder itself is inflatable and can be filled with water after installing it in the ceiling. A metallic mesh or net will be holding this bladder in position in the ceiling of the facility. 3. This bladder will have a secondary purpose, they will be used for cooling the facility, the bladder can hold cooled water which will provide lower temperature. I will try to prepare some visuals to illustrate the technology behind it better.
